Sheshan National Forest Park

The forest park is located in northern Shanghai’s Yangpu District, it is a large public park featuring various activities such as boating, barbecue, horse riding, and a small amusement park. Shanghai Xiaokunshan

Xiaokunshan (mountain) is located in the northwest of Songjiang, about 10 kilometers away from the central city of Songjiang. The main peak is 54.3 meters above sea level, with a mountain area of about 300 acres, you can enjoy hiking and lush forests.
It runs slightly slanting from southeast to northwest, there are north and south peaks. The whole mountain is in the shape of “8”, and looks like the head of a lying cow from a distance, so it is also called “Niu Tau Mountain”.

 

Binjiang Forest Park

Binjiang Forest Park is located at the northernmost tip of Shanghai’s Pudong District. You can find lots of walking paths, a number of different pavilions, flower gardens, and other interesting spots. It not only retains the original plants, but it’s also a habitat for many animals. Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park

The Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park is located in Shanghai’s Fengxian District, adjacent to Hangzhou Bay. The park features an equestrian area, a root carving center, boating and a paint and calligraphy center. In summer, the park offers various different activities such as the Hanfu show or kayaking, it’s also the best time to enjoy the lotus flowers. During winter, the plum trees are in full bloom, making it a great place to spend time with your family.

 

Dongping National Forest Park

This forest is located on the north side of Chongming Island in Shanghai, and is currently the largest plain artificial forest in East China. The daily temperature in summer is usually 2-3 degrees lower compared to Downtown Shanghai. It’s definitely a great place to escape the heat of the summer. You can ride a bicycle around the park or you can use the barbecue and camping areas. It’s a great destination for a short weekend getaway. Besides, there are also plenty of leisure activities such as paintball, grass skiing, pedal boats, and so on.

 

 

Tianmashan Park

Tianmashan, or Tianma Mountain, is located in Shanghai’s Songjiang District. The hill is densely forested with a series of paths suitable for walking or running. Since the park is still unknown to many people, you can enjoy the peace that is surrounded by bamboo trees and several temples. The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy is famous for its “slant but not falling” posture. Not many people know that there is actually an ancient tower in Shanghai that is more inclined than the leaning tower of Pisa. The Songjiang Huzhu Tower, with a history of nearly a thousand years, is an ancient tower built in the Northern Song Dynasty.

 

 

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden

In this garden, you can enjoy plants all year round. The botanical garden includes the Quarry Garden, two lakes, and several small islands.
