China COVID-19 Travel Restrictions Updates

Special procedures for traveling during COVID-19

If you are still traveling and have not got back yet to your city, there’s no need to panic. Please check the below details to learn more about the health code.

 

Green Code: If you depart from a low-risk place and have a green code for your arrival place, and you have not passed through a medium-high-risk area within 14 days, then you are allowed to fly back to your city of residence.

Yellow Code: If you have been to middle-risk and high-risk areas the code will turn yellow, and please do the COVID-19 test immediately to make sure you haven’t got infected. You might be requested a 14-day quarantine on arrival, therefore yellow code means you are suspected or in quarantine.

Red Code: Red means that you are a confirmed COVID-19 patient and have to be quarantined.

Shanghai
  • All A-level national scenic spots will scan your Shanghai Healthy Code and you also need to show the passport or ID Card to the staff before entry. For your safety, we recommend online booking or on-site registration before the visit. Wearing a mask is a must.
  • If you have been visiting middle-risk and high-risk areas within 14 days, you will be requested a 14-day quarantine.

Beijing
  • Do not leave Beijing unless necessary. If you need to leave Beijing for an essential reason, you have to hold a green healthy code and a negative COVID-19 test available 48 hours.
  • People from middle-risk and high-risk areas are not allowed to enter Beijing.
  • Travel agencies are not allowed to receive passengers from medium-high-risk areas and those who have entered China for less than 21 days.
  • You will be asked to show your green health code before doing the check-in the hotel.
  • Some spots need to be booked online before the visit.
  • In public places it is required to wear the mask.

Jiangsu
  • Suspend all road passenger transport and passenger stations.
  • The passenger who leaves the city by train in Nanjing and Yangzhou must provide a negative COVID-19 test report within 48 hours. (the transit passenger is not included)
  • All of the domestic flights in and out Nanjing and Yangzhou are completely suspended.
