• September: September marks the peak of the rainy season in Thailand. While the skies are often overcast, northern Thailand tends to receive less rain compared to Bangkok and the southern islands. However, more remote islands like Koh Samui and Koh Lanta are ideal for travel during this period, as they receive less rain and enjoy cooler, more pleasant weather.
• October: Rainfall in Koh Samui increases significantly during October, while other regions become drier. Temperatures range from 30°C to 32°C. In Chiang Mai, rainfall decreases substantially, with an average of only 10 rainy days throughout the month.
• November: November is an excellent time to visit Thailand. The rains taper off, and temperatures become milder. However, keep in mind that nighttime temperatures in northern Thailand can drop considerably, so be prepared if you’re traveling in these areas. Average daytime temperatures across Thailand range from 29°C to 31°C, and rainfall continues to decrease.

Loy Krathong and Yi Peng Lantern Festival (November)
