Xinjiang

Day 1: Welcome to Urumqi

When you arrive in Urumqi our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2: Explore ancient Tuyoq Village

After breakfast, we will take a 3-hour drive to reach Turpan. The first site in Turpan is Sugong Minaret. It is the largest Islamic minaret in China built in 1778 by Sulaiman to commemorate his father's achievements of the reunion of Xinjiang. Then view the ancient Jiaohe Ruins with a history of 2,300 years and have been listed in World Culture Heritage in 2014. On the way to Shanshan, we will explore the ancient Tuyoq Village, hiking around the best-preserved Uighur Wood and Earth Village.

Day 3: Deep into Desert

Visit the Kumutag Desert. Trekking on a camel in the desert while listening to the story of the Silk Road. Then we proceeded to another highlight of the day - Jiangbulake. A stunning place with endless grassland surrounded by snow mountains. We will relax in the Hot Spring when arrive in Jimusaer, don't forget to bring your swimsuit.

Day 4: Travel to Beitun

Depart from Jimusaer after breakfast. We will drive all the way to the next stop Beitun. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and have some rest.

Day 5: Visit picturesque Kanas Nature Park

Today we will drive along the mountain road to the mysterious Kanas Nature Reserve. Explore famous Kanas Three Bay (Immortal Bay, Moon Bay, Dragon Bay). Then walk to the Fish Pavilion and enjoy a panoramic view of Kanas.

Day 6: Day in Hemu Tuwa Village

This morning we will head to Tuwa village Hemu, a tranquil village with herds of cattle and sheep as well as hospitality local people. Visit the local family to learn about their culture and history.

Day 7: Admire Wuerhe Ghost City

Enjoy your leisure time in Hemu. If you are interested, we can take you across the birch forest and take pictures of the sunrise on the Hemu viewing platform. Thereafter, travel to the Urho Ghost City. It is a unique wind-eroded geological area.

Day 8: Goodbye Urumqi

Take you back to Urumqi and catch an afternoon flight or train.
