Day 1: Welcome to Christchurch
Upon your arrival on the first day, you will be welcomed at Christchurch airport and transferred to the hotel by our guide.
- Pickup from the airport.
- Stay overnight at the hotel in Christchurch.

Day 2: Explore Christchurch
- After pick-up up you will be driven to Christchurch and by the city’s center. Here you can assess the progress of the rebuild following the 2010/2011 earthquakes. We will discuss the reasons for the event, its impact and the exciting plans for the future. We will also delve into the history of the city and explore the beautiful Botanic Gardens where you will discover why New Zealand’s flora and fauna is unique. Stops will be made at Cathedral Square, the River precinct, the Transitional Cathedral (Cardboard Cathedral) and the Tannery shopping precinct. Lunch will be taken in a local cafe or restaurant.
- During the day you will head to the Port Hills which overlook Christchurch and present stunning views of the city, Canterbury Plains, Lyttelton Harbour and the distant Southern Alps. Before we return you to your accommodation we visit ‘She Chocolate’ a chocolatire cafe. Here we hope to tempt you with the pleasures of ‘The Food of the Gods’ before dropping you off at your hotel.

Day 3: Queenstown Highlights Tour
- You’ll will be driven to Christchurch airport to catch you short flight to Queenstown. The sights of Queenstown are best explored in the morning so you will be transferred toy our tour for 9.30am.
- Firstly you will travel up the Queenstown Hill and enjoy spectacular birds-eye view of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. Your friendly local driver guide will provide entertaining and informative commentary throughout your tour.
- After this you will discover the secrets of bungy-jumping with a behind the scenes tour of AJ Hacketts world famous Bungy bridge and watch the jumpers from the viewing deck. Following this you will visit the award-winning Gibbston Valley Winery, founded by a pioneer of the Central Otago wine industry, and sample a selection of wines produced on site.
- Have your camera at the ready as you are transported into Middle-earth at the Kawarau Gorge, film location from the ‘Pillars of the Kings’ in the Lord of the Rings. Then discover beautiful Arrowtown’s captivating history and colonial architecture.
- Highlights are the Lakes District Museum and the Chinese Miner’s settlement, as well as plus boutique shopping, great cafes and restaurants.
- You will then be dropped off at your Queenstown hotel for a relaxing evening to rest-up or explore more of Queenstown at your leisure.

Day 4: Milford Sound cruise
- You will be picked up from your Queenstown hotel and driven to Milford Sound aboard a comfy coach to visit one of the most spectacular parts of the country.
- Board the Milford Adventurer to get up close and personal to New Zealand fur seals basking on the rocks, massive rock faces rising for hundreds of meters out of the sea and see waterfalls cascade from ancient rainforest high in the mountains.
- You will be driven back after your adventure to Queenstown.
- Meals are available to pre book for a fee.

Day 5: Queenstown wine tour
- This half day wine and food experience delivers an unforgettable taste of Central Otago’s wine region, showcasing its superb local produce.
- Your winery lunch is exclusively for Queenstown Wine Trail guests only. Lunch consists of several tasting dishes each perfectly matched by the Chief Winemaker and Head Chef, using estate wines and fresh local produce.
- Enjoy wine tasting and presentations at 3 wineries, generally visiting one larger well-known winery and two boutique style wineries. An underground wine cave tour & tastings gives you inside information about our great wines and the Central Otago wine industry.

Day 6: Goodbye Queenstown!
