Destination
Day 1: Welcome to Sri Lanka
- Pick up from the airport.
- Drive to Kandy (2.5-hour drive).
- Stop by Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on the way, an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants
- Visit the temple of tooth relic, where the sacred tooth relic is preserved and rituals are performed- UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 2: Kandy - Eliya
- Head to Nuwara Eliya (2-hour drive).
- Visit Botanical Garden of Peradeniya, renowned for its collection of a variety of orchids, which includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.
- Explore the most famous Tea Plantation & Factory.
- Stop en route at Ramboda Waterfall.
- Enjoy a city tour at Nuwara Eliya including the famous Gregory Lake/Victoria Park.
Day 3: Eliya -Yala
- Head to Yala National Park (3-hour drive).
- Go for a safari ride in the evening and spot herds of elephants, monkeys, buffalo, sloth bear, deer, crocodile, sambar as well as the endangered leopard sub-species and panthera pardus kotiya, which is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Day 4: Yala - Bentota
- Head to Bentota (4- hour drive)
- Visit Turtle Hatchery, a non - profitable organization maintained for the survival of Sea Turtles for the next generation.
- Stop en route at Dutch Galle Fort, a fortification first built by the Portuguese on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka.
