Kathmandu Arrival
- Upon arrival in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet with your tour guide/driver, assist and transfer to the hotel.
- Welcome refreshments will be served in the hotel’s lobby and check-in assistance will be provided.
- Shortly afterward there will be a tour briefing at the hotel’s lobby.
Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu
- Am: After breakfast, get into the waiting vehicle and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city. It includes a visit to the Hanuman Dhoka (Kathmandu Durbar Square) - an ancient durbar (palace) with its numerous old palaces, temples and pagodas, the Temple of Living Goddess “Kumari”, and the Kasthamandap Temple, which is believed to be constructed from the wood of a single tree from which Kathmandu derives its name.
- Later Proceed for a sightseeing tour of ancient Patan City, this ancient city of Patan also known as Lalitpur or the “city of fine arts” is about five kilometers southeast of Kathmandu.
- The city is full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments. The major attraction of this ancient city is Durbar Square, which situated in the heart of the city constitutes the focus of visitor’s attraction, the square is full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines noted for their exquisite carvings. The Patan Durbar consists of three main chowks or courtyards, the central Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Chowk. The Sundari Chowk holds in its center a masterpiece of stone architecture, the Royal Bath called Tushahity & Krishna Mandir: Built in the seventeenth century, the temple of Lord Krishna holds a commanding position in the palace complex of Patan. It is supposed to be the first specimen in Nepal. It is the only temple in Nepal; having 21 spire and is completely made of stone.
- Later transfer to hotel.
Mt. Everest flight by Charter Helicopter & Land in Dhulikhel.
- Early morning transfer to Kathmandu’s domestic airport to board the chartered helicopter and fly over Everest Base Camp to enjoy the view of Mt. Everest and other giant snowcapped mountains in Khumbu Region.
- On our way back we will land in Kalapatthar at an approximate altitude of (5,300 m / 17,384 ft.), from where will have the closest view of Mt. Everest and the Everest Base Camp.
- After the short photo session we will fly to the famous Everest View hotel to enjoy the panoramic view of Mt. Everest and other giant snowcapped Mountains. In the meantime, we will serve breakfast with Champagne.
- After breakfast fly back to the Mountain Resort in Dhulikhel.
- Rest of the day is free for leisure.
Visit Bhaktapur Dubar Square and free time
- After leisurely activities, drive to Bhaktapur City, literally the “City of Devotees”, is renowned for its elegant art, fabulous culture, colorful festivals, traditional dances, and the typical Newari lifestyle.
- Here explore the Royal Palace, the Golden Gate, the entrance to the Palace of 55 Windows, known as the most significant piece of art in Nepal.
- Then visit the highest temple in the entire Kathmandu Valley- the Nyatapola Temple. This is also listed on a UNESCO world heritage site.
- After sightseeing tour transfer back to Dwarika’s Resort Dhulikhel.
- Rest of the day is for leisure.
