Kathmandu Arrival

Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu

  • Am: After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City.
  • It includes a visit to the Boudhanath Stupa, an ancient colossal stupa, and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in the world, the Pashupatinath Temple, the Temple of Lord Shiva, situated on the bank of the holy Bagmati River.
  • The tour includes also a visit to the Hanuman Dokha (Kathmandu Durbar Square), an ancient durbar with its numerous old palaces, temples and pagodas, the Temple of Living Goddess “Kumari”, and the Kasthamandap Temple, which is believed to be constructed from the wood of a single tree from which Kathmandu derives its name.
  •  After lunch (not included) drive up to Swayambhunath Stupa situated atop a hill from where you could get a bird’s eye view of Kathmandu valley. The Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as the “Monkey Temple”.

Drive to Kurintar

  • After breakfast, start a 3-hours scenic drive to Kurintar, situated in the bank of Trishuli River.
  • En route stop at Charaudi (raft starting point) where there will be a short briefing followed by some demonstrations related to white water rafting.
  • Shortly afterward, commence exciting white water rafting in the Trishuli River for about 3 hours till we reach Kurintar (raft ending point). Initially, we begin with small rapids and soon catch up with bigger ones.
  • Bid farewell to your rafting crew short walk to River Side Resort for changing and Refreshment. Rest of the day is free to enjoy the surrounding beauty.

Cable Car ride to Manakamana Temple and Driver to Chitwan

  • After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and walk to the road to meet the waiting vehicle.
  • Shortly afterward get into the waiting vehicle and proceed to Cable Car station to board the Cable Car ride to famed Manakamana Temple “Goddess of wish-fulfilling”.
  • After the excursion return back to the Cable car station and head to Chitwan National Park.
  • Upon arrival check-in at the wildlife resort for lunch.
  • After lunch, your naturalist will brief you about the wildlife activities that you will be participating.
  • In the afternoon you proceed to cultural and wildlife activities offered by your wildlife Resort.
  • In the evening, the well-stocked bar caters to the needs of the thirsty and a hearty meal of continental or Nepalese cuisine will be served around the campfire.

Full Day Jungle Activities in Chitwan

  • Wakeup early and proceed for an elephant ride or Jeep Safari or a jungle walk, to view the wildlife in their early repose. This is the best time of the day to see the animals as we silently brush through dewy tall elephant grass (18-20 ft. tall), a habitat for rhinos, tigers and other wild animals.
  • After spending several hours in the Jungle, return back to the hotel for late breakfast and rest.
  • At noon visit the elephant stables to get firsthand knowledge on elephants from senior naturalists.
  • After a hearty lunch at the camp, the afternoon is free for the much-deserved mid-afternoon siesta or a visit to the library for general in formations on the National park.
  • In the late afternoon, there is a choice to participate in the programs offered at the camp, which includes jungle drives, Canoe rides/ floats or an escorted nature walk and bird watching excursion.

Fly to Pokhara, drive to Suikhet Phedi and Trek to Dhampus

  • After breakfast check out from Jungle lodge and get transferred to Bharatpur domestic Airport, to board the short flight to Pokhara.
  • Upon arrival get into a waiting vehicle and drive to Suikhet Phedi (Trekking starting point), after a short preparation start trekking to Dhampus.
  • The trek starts immediately with a steep climb through mixed forests and takes about an hour to the Mina Lodge, which marks the end of the steep path and arrival at the Dhampus Plateau. From here the incline is much easier as the trail continues to climb steadily in a more forested area and after about two hours we arrive at the first checkpoint at the entrance to Dhampus Village with a maze of houses and alleyways of stonewalls.
  • There are magnificent views of the mountains from west to east of the Annapurna South (7,219m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), Mardi Himal (5,587 m) and Macchapucchare (6,993m) to the north.

Trek to Maajgaun

  • Wake up for a breathtaking sunrise view over the Annapurna Himalayas & enjoy an outdoor breakfast. Shortly afterward start trekking
  • After leaving the village, we continue on the trail going down a fairly gentle slope cutting into steps in the middle of the forest and then a short climb will bring us to the settlement of Pothana (2,000m) after an hour with magnificent views of the western Himalayas.
  • Shortly after we will leave the main trail which leads towards Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal Base Camp and descends towards Maajgaun mostly through the dense forest.
  • Upon arrival check-in at a Mountain Lodge for lunch.
  • Rest of the day is free for leisure while enjoying the surrounding beauty.

Trek down to Birethanti and drive to Pokhara

  • After breakfast, start trek down Birethanti.
  • In between, you will pass through the beautiful rural Bee Village where you can see Bee Hives in most of the houses.
  • After short breaks continue to descend down to Modi Khola.
  • Cross the River on a suspension bridge and continue to walk to Birethanti for lunch.
  • After lunch get into the waiting vehicle and drive back to Pokhara.
  • Upon arrival check-in at the lakeside Hotel.
  • The rest of the day is free to stroll around the colorful Lakeside Bazaar.

Pokhara

  • Spend a free day in Pokhara.

Fly to Kathmandu
