Japan
When speaking about the spring in Japan, the image of soft pink blossoms covering the countryside is an inevitable one. From mid-March, cherry trees erupt into a profusion of pink hues. The parks of Tokyo and Kyoto along with the surrounding countryside are at their most vibrant during this season. Families gather under blooming trees to enjoy picnics and celebrate Hanami.
Tokyo’s cherry blossoms can be seen across parks such as Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and Ueno Park. In addition, there are inspiring urban views to be found along the Meguro River in Nakameguro and in Chidori-ga-fuchi Moat near the Imperial Palace. This makes it an excellent time to visit, it is advisable to allow a little extra time to fully experience the blossoms and festivities, particularly in Seoul. The city and the beautiful Bukhansan National Park are at their most vibrant.
The Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival, one of Korea’s largest and most renowned celebrations, takes place annually in the city of Jinhae. This festival draws millions of visitors each year, who come to admire the cherry blossoms along the Yeojwacheon Stream and participate in cultural performances, parades, and fireworks displays. It is recommended to add Jeju Island to your itinerary. The island is famous for its dramatic volcanic terrain, pristine beaches, lush forests and picturesque waterfalls. It offers a unique opportunity to experience a different side of South Korea.
Vietnam
Spring is the ideal season to visit Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, when the skies are clear and the waters are calm. The bay’s natural beauty can be best appreciated by cruising among the limestone karsts, kayaking in the emerald waters, and exploring the hidden caves. The comfortable temperatures make outdoor activities on the bay especially enjoyable. In the vicinity of Halong Bay, the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, offers a variety of attractions. Bhutan
